It’s the Coolest Event Around

Every year on the first day of the year, Eagle Landing residents shake off the post-holiday blues and credit card doldrums with a refreshing dip or thrilling ride down the 150′ slide to celebrate new beginnings.  We call it “The Polar Plunge”.  But folks, this is Florida.  Not the Arctic.  Temps are in the 70s and while the water is on the chilly side, it’s not freezing.  Nevertheless, there’s plenty of brave souls with their squeals and shaky screams that meet at the Swim Park at 10am for their yearly baptism.  Fresh breakfast pastries, hot chocolate and coffee await.
