Summer to Fall Fun in Eagle Landing!

The calendar says fall officially begins on September 22nd but we all know that summer is pretty much over when the school bell rings. But there’s always year-round fun on the calendar at Eagle Landing so take a break from the carpool lane and check out these events.

Labor Day Weekend kicks off with the Sunshine Market on Saturday, September 3rd beginning at 10am.  It’s only here for 4 hours so hurry on down for one-of-a-kind items, fantastic food, family fun and there’s always free giveaways!

Later that evening, the grownups can chill out at the Cabana Bar while the family enjoys “Angry Birds” at the Swim Park. And don’t forget to come back on September 17th for the last Dive In Movie of the summer – “Ratchet & Clank”.

The remainder of the weekend is centered around the Swim Park with fun & games for all ages plus Sundae Specials, Adult Beer Dive, and our poolside DJ spinning the tunes!

After School Tennis kicks off September 7th with classes for absolute Beginners, Intermediate and the Grand Prix (pro approval required).

Don’t forget the Kids Only Parties! Scheduled this month are Girls and Boys Only parties with the Girls Only “Princess Party” on September 10th and the Boys Only “Sports Party” on September 24th.

Now that the kids are back at school, you’ll have time to relax and read, right? Right? Get a jump on the September and October book club selections: “The Hamilton Affair” by Elizabeth Cobbs (September) and “Cold Sassy Tree” from Olive Burns (October). Book Club meets at the Residents Club the second Monday of the month.

Last but most definitely, not least, September means football. Pro and College! The Jacksonville Jaguars kick off their season on Sunday, September 11th against the Green Bay Packers and if you don’t have tickets, you’re outta luck. Game is SOLD OUT! So wear your teal & black or the green & gold and head up to The Landing Bar & Grill for game day and enjoy their wing specials, half-off cheesy nachos and $15 bucket of beers!

The University of Florida Gators kick off September 3rd while the Florida State Seminoles are featured on ESPN Monday night, September 5th. The Jacksonville University Dolphins begin their season away on September 10th.

For adventures outside of Eagle Landing, check out the Sing Out Loud Festival in St. Augustine. This festival encompasses the next three weekends starting August 26th and ending September 11th. Plenty of chances for music and sunshine!! And this Sunday, August 28th, Mavericks at the Landing is hosting reggae artist Sizzla.
